Devil Bones by Kathy Reichs

Summary:

Satanists, Wiccans, and homosexuals, oh my! Bizarre bodies and religious paraphernalia keep showing up. And our favorite Canadian detective turns up as well. What could he possibly have to say for himself?

Opinion:

It was interesting to learn about Santeria, and how mob-minded religious fanatics will go after anything—such sheep! I did wonder how long the author would go before addressing the Andrew Ryan situation. Nice curveball with Charlie, though. Quite surprised at getting another interesting storyline so soon. For those of you who have read my reviews on previous Kathy Reichs novels, usually it is every other book or every two books for a good storyline (my opinion only) to appear.

Break No Bones by Kathy Reichs

Summary:

Tempe is filling in for a colleague when fresh remains, instead of ancient remains, show up at an archaeology site. When estranged husband, Pete, comes to town on business, both end up sharing a friend’s beach house, much to Tempe’s annoyance. Andrew Ryan shows up and gets the wrong idea. How much more could go wrong for her?

Opinion:

This one didn’t have me hooked like some, but it wasn’t a bad story either. The tension between Peter and Andrew Ryan was very amusing. Decent story murder-wise. Needed more smut!
