Mini Skein 10 Stitch Blanket

The mini skein blanket is coming along nicely. I’m into the third Bon Bon of the Beach package. As the blanket gets bigger, I won’t have as much progress to show off each week, BUT I’ll have more colors per side instead of single blocks of color.

I’m marking added corners and sides with progress keepers. I alternate knitting a side a day and knitting a corner, so I don’t upset my CTS or RSI (carpel tunnel or repetitive stress injury).

It still blows my mind how much yarn is in each Bon Bon. I really thought this blanket would knit up faster.

Scrappy Wrap

I’ve added 60 more rows, about 18 inches. The Bernat Plum Chutney ball is getting smaller every day. To be honest, I’m getting tired of this project. I may put it away for a little while and bring it back out at a later date.

I also think it getting warmer around here has something to do with it. Even with the A/C and fans on, I get really warm when I work on this thing.

New Cotton

I finished up the Bernat Melon Mania last week before the end of the month. This month I’ve started the Bernat Fruit Explosion, which is knitting up very nicely. This yarn is a twist, which means it’s three threads that have been spun together. Yarn weight-wise, it’s more worsted weight than double worsted that the Melon Mania yarn was. It feels thinner.

Favorite Knitting Notion

I found a video on YouTube that showed how to use Finishing Needles. I hate sewing in ends and finishing work. These needles, OMG, they have completely changed my attitude toward finishing. Here’s the video I watched:

I love that you are video blogging! I have done it a few times but it very outside my comfort zone. I have always wanted to learn how to knit or crochet but I have never taken the time to do so. I am always with people who do!
