Freeform, formerly ABC Family, has been advertising their Christmas movie schedule since the beginning of November. To be honest, most of the movies on their list, I have no desire to watch. So I decided to create my own 25 Days of Christmas Movies list:

  1. Christmas Vacation (What better way to kick off the season that with the Griswolds!)
  2. Home Alone
  3. Home Alone 2
  4. A Charlie Brown Christmas (Childhood favorite)
  5. Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas
  6. Mickey’s Twice Upon a Christmas
  7. Merry Madagascar (THE PENGUINS!)
  8. The Santa Claus
  9. Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer
  10. A Year without a Santa Claus (This is one of my top 4 Christmas movies! Heatmiser vs. Snowmiser)
  11. Santa Claus is Coming to Town
  12. Mickey’s Christmas Carol (Honestly, the only version I can watch. All the others upset me too much. Tiny Tim…)
  13. Christmas Vacation again
  14. A Christmas Story (Husband is determined to get me to watch this movie. Never seen it before.)
  15. How the Grinch Stole Christmas—non-animated version
  16. A Disney Christmas Gift (This movie holds a very special place in my heart. I can recite this movie in my sleep. I love it so much, that when my TV with a VCR died, I was heartbroken because I didn’t think I’d ever get to watch this movie again. Husband found it somewhere on the internet and I have been reunited with my beloved film. No, it’s not available on DVD, or else I’d have a million copies of it.)
  17. Home Alone
  18. Merry Madagascar
  19. Santa Claus is Coming to Town
  20. A Year without a Santa Claus
  21. A Charlie Brown Christmas
  22. How the Grinch Stole Christmas—animated verison
  23. Christmas Vacation
  24. Prep and Landing 1 & 2 (More recent additions to my list. Love these short films.)
  25. A Disney Christmas Gift

Husband and I have an ongoing disagreement with his parents about whether or not Hallmark Christmas movies are real Christmas movies. They say yes. We say, they’re romance movies set up Christmas.
