Decorating My Current Journal
Since starting my latest journal, I’ve been struggling with using it. It’s wider than the last couple of journals I’ve used, and I hate (not really but you know) writing in it. And the one after this one is the same size, so I’m trying to figure out a way to power through using them.
I don’t like to just fill notebooks up random stuff. To me, that’s just a waste. I like my decorations and graffiti to mean something to me.
So what have I come up with?
Does anyone remember the Pieces of Flair app from Facebook? I had soooooo many pins. And being the weird person that I am, at one point I was saving them on my computer. Well, I’m glad I did.
I can no longer access them on Facebook, don’t know about anyone else, and so I dug around on my flash drives to find them.
I decided to do was take my calligraphy pens and hand write all the Pieces of Flair on the right pages of my journal.
I had 300 pieces of flair. That’s a lot of writing. It took me four days to complete it and I was so glad when it was done.
Why the right page? I say of journal challenge somewhere where it challenged you to write only on one side of the page. I decided to do that with my current journal. I will most likely do that with my next journal. I filled in 33 pages with FLAIR writing and got through all my pieces.

I love that! I am so not creative and so jealous of people who are! I love how you wrote around the outside edges of the right side!

Love this and you are the most patient person ever to take four days and do it! I would want it done so bad, but don’t think I would be as patient!!

I’ll be honest. It was a long three days. I almost quit by the 2nd evening, but realized I didn’t have many more to go.

nice work! My journal looks like it was written by a mad scientist!

Haha! If that works for you, keep writing like a mad scientist!

Pieces of Flair is an old app from Facebook many years ago. When it started to become difficult to get back to my Flair boards, I saved all my Flair as images/pictures on my computer.

Calligraphy is hard work! My hat is off to you, it’s lovely flair.

I think you can search it on Facebook.

I love decorating my journal with stickers, post-its and taping physical things I’m talking about in the journal such as ticket stubs, dry flowers, etc.
Nov 30, 2015 @ 08:06:07
Certain physical items I like to tape in as well, like ticket stubs, but we haven’t been to the movies in a long time. Thanks for stopping by.
