Bones of the Lost by Kathy Reichs

The body of a young girl is found on the side of the road. Based on age, clothing, and suspected ethnicity, it is believed she was an illegal immigrant brought to the US via the sex trade. In addition to that case, Tempe is brought in as an expert for a military trial involving the potential murder of Afghan civilians. What Tempe doesn’t suspect at all is the two cases are related.

Decent book. Not one of my favorites, but I did learn about what a guest stay on a military base was like, and just how extensive the international sex trade is.
