Bones to Ashes by Kathy Reichs

Memories of a childhood friend that disappeared are reawakened when skeletal remains matching her last known description appear. Toss in flamboyant sister, Harry, cameo appearance by estranged husband, Pete, and some would-be thugs, Tempe’s in for more than the Nancy Drew detecting she used to do. Oh, cherry on top: Andrew Ryan’s latest bombshell!

This was one of the better ones. The storyline was interesting and held my attention. Tempe handled Ryan’s speech with dignity and grace; something I’m not sure if I could manage. It will be interesting to see how it is dealt with in the subsequent books.
