The Mummy Snatchers of Memphis by Natasha Narayan

First thing’s first: Memphis, Egypt, not Memphis, Tennessee. A new mummy is brought back from Egypt, but has been switched for a fake. The daughter of the museum curator and her friends set out to solve the mystery. They must journey into London’s horrible East End to begin to find answers, and then off across the sea to Egypt.

This story was written in first person point of view, which at times made it confusing to read. Because right in the middle of the paragraph the narrator would inject her personal thoughts and I would have to go back and reread the paragraph.

An interesting story with decent organization. Only complaint is stated above already. I would recommend this story.

It is the first of A Kit Salter Adventure series; I will not be continuing the series.
