The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold

A story with a horribly tragic beginning, but the ending brings about a sense of closure, not only for the characters, but to the reader as well.

I have mixed feeling about this book in whether or not to recommend it.

Pros: good strong suspense that makes you want to keep reading; good character development; overall well written.

Cons: story content

I know this sounds somewhat paradoxical: the story was one I wouldn’t normally read, but the way it was written kept me from putting the book down for good.

For the sake of my fellow members, I’m refraining from stating what the book was actually about since I don’t know the emotional maturity levels of all of them. If you’re curious, I encourage you to look up this book and judge for yourself on whether or not you would want to read it.
