Jane Austen: A Life by Claire Tomalin

Summary:

A very detailed account regarding Jane Austen’s life and her family. Written by a woman who went to many lengths to see that she was using accurate information.

Opinion:

The book being a detailed account is no lie. It was so in-depth at time I became bored. It does go into theories on why Austen didn’t write for more than a decade after finishing Sense and Sensibility, Pride and Prejudice, and Mansfield Park. I did enjoy parts of it. It does give enough information for someone to repair a book report on the Authoress. Will recommend to anyone interested in Jane Austen.
