Enter Three Witches by Caroline Cooney

A young girl is sent to live with Lord and Lady Macbeth. After King Duncan is murdered, Lady Mary inadvertently discovers the truth and must watch her step around the new King and Queen; two royals who have no qualms about offing those in the path.

Surprisingly, I’m glad my 12th grade English teacher beat Macbeth into my brain that year. This story can stand on its own, but I believe I understood much better having read the play before. I would recommend it. Nice story line, medium vocabulary, quick read. It did keep me interested.
